Hypnotherapy
There are two entirely different treatments in Hypno-Analytical
Psychotherapy. Suggestion Therapy :
Used
for problems such as Smoking, Nail-biting, Pre-test
nerves, Slimming, Confidence-boosting, Public speaking
etc., these require one to three sessions.
Analytical Psychotherapy :
Used to
find the root cause of a complex problem or symptom
and release
it. This in turn gives on-going relief
to the client.
These require 6-10 weekly
sessions of approx. 60 minutes. During each session
the client is in a state of heightened awareness
induced by suggestion therapy.

In
the Alpha Clinic we deal with ‘smoking cessation’ on
a regular basis. Hypnotherapy is one of the fastest,
easiest, withdrawal friendly ways
to stop this habit permanently.
It
takes only one session of ‘suggestion therapy’ to
stop this habit forever.
Our
clients attend the clinic for two visits. The first visit
entails taking a detailed
account of your personal association with smoking.
Then we have you drift easily into hypnosis, so we can
then
measure how receptive you are to hypnosis by measuring
your brainwave activity. This is done by the use of
a bio-feedback monitor which tells us how well you respond
to hypnosis
or not!
At
the end of this session we ask you to listen to a pre-recorded
CD/Tape once a day for five to seven days. This pre-recorded
session increases your Confidence, Motivation and Goal
setting ability for Quitting Smoking, so that when you
return for your second visit your mind is Pre-conditioned
to quit this habit permanently. We then apply one session
of ‘Suggestion Therapy’ with all your personal
details built in so you can leave the clinic with no
adverse effects from Quitting Smoking. We record this
session for you on CD Tape so you can reinforce the suggestions
again and again at home at your leisure.

Weight Control
We deal with many weight issues in our
clinic, and achieve very positive results in the majority
of cases. As you know most diets fail the individual, and
in a lot of cases, will eventually increase your weight.
This
I must say is normally not the fault of the diet. All
diets work well, but if they are not maintained, they
will be doomed. We as humans do not like doing things that
we feel we must and so willpower has to fight the battle
of wills with food and weight issues.
Hypnosis
can remove food issues / cravings in one session of ‘Suggestion Therapy’,
the same way as we deal with Nicotine cravings for smokers.
Our weight loss programme is dealt with over a three week
period. Your first week will deal with your lifestyle in
relation to food and how you approach it. Then on week
two we condition you to eat as much healthy food that you
enjoy eating and in quantities that satisfies your natural
hunger only.
This is the opposite of your average diet that tells you
what you should or should not eat on a daily basis whether
you like the food or not. Then on week three we have you
change your internal mental body image of yourself to one
that is realistic and pleasing to you for your body height
and weight, as you subconscious mind responds to how you
mentally see yourself.
You then let your new regime and nature take its course
to allow you achieve your desired weight, body size or
clothes size.
Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation that you will
enjoy and benefit from in an instant.
If
a weight problem relates back to your childhood or some
unknown
event in your life, then we use ‘Analysis’ through
hypnosis to find and change the ‘Emotional affect’ the
root cause had upon you.

We will not use ‘Suggestion Therapy’ on a
client that we feel would benefit from ‘Analysis’,
as this could cause symptom substitution.

Self-Confidence
Self-Confidence is an issue we deal with
almost on a daily basis here in the Alpha Clinic. Hypnosis
is an easy and very effective way to restore you natural
balance of confidence and self-esteem.
Only two or
three sessions are required through hypnosis to correct
this issue when using ‘suggestion therapy’.
If we discover that some incident(s) from your past may
have caused your symptoms then we may need to do some ‘Analysis’ into
your past to overcome that incident. Our success rate is
extremely high in relation to restoring natural self confidence.
Lack of assertiveness, indecisiveness and fear are spin
off symptoms that are linked directly to the one core issue,
lack of confidence.

Phobias
The Alpha Clinic regularly deals with phobias in relation
to animals, insects, flying, open spaces, social phobia
etc. Hypnotherapy is very effective with the majority of
people, but some people are less receptive than others.
For this very reason we use TAT, EMDR, and EFT Therapy
for the relief of phobias if certain people have reservations
regarding Hypnotherapy.
Many of these phobias are
dealt with in only one session of "Suggestion Therapy".
This session is recorded to boost your confidence again
any time in the future,
if the need arises.
Your first session involves taking all your personal details
in relation to this phobia, and can last over an hour.

Insomnia
With regard to Insomnia we can only comment on results
achieved using Hypnotherapy, TAT, EMDR and EFT which are
the therapies we use in the Alpha Clinic.
All clients treated so far that presented with symptoms
of Insomnia have all reported a marked increased ability
to sleep more easily and remain in the sleep mode for as
long as is necessary for them.
One third of the Irish Population has trouble sleeping.
The Awake System and Sleep System in your brain need to
be functioning correctly along with our body clock in order
to get a good night sleep.
We access the subconscious
mind through Hypnotherapy to allow your sleeping pattern
return to what would be deemed
normal for you. The first session would be information
gathering, followed by two or three sessions of "Suggestion
Therapy" that allows your subconscious mind to rectify
any imbalance in your sleep mode.
